Elderly can get help with shopping - Call the helpline if needed

If you’re 70 years or older or belong to a risk group, you should meet as few people as possible. This is to protect you from being infected with the coronavirus. There are supermarkets that can help you shop and the municipality has a helpline you can call.

Those of you who belong to a risk group should avoid taking the bus and train and not go into shops and premises where there are many people.

Many supermarkets are offering help with home deliveries. There are also restaurants and cafes that offer takeaway service or home deliveries. You can find a list of companies at www.kristianstad.se/inkop

Kristianstad municipality can help you if you don’t have anyone who can help you. You can also get help if you cannot use the services offered by the shops.

If you need help, you can call the municipality's helpline at omsorgsförvaltningen (the Care Administration) on telephone number 044-13 20 99. There are staff who answer calls on weekdays between 8 am and 4 pm.

You can also get support over the phone if you’re worried about the coronavirus. Bear in mind that the call will be in Swedish.
