New café opened in Knislinge: 'It's turned out really great'
The breakfast buffet with bacon and eggs, meatballs and a whole lot more stood ready and waiting. And behind the scenes it was all go for both Anna and Andreas Martinsson, while Josefin Axelsson, in charge of the till, welcomed the first breakfast customers to the newly-renovated premises.
Over the past few months the café has undergone a complete makeover, which has cost the new owners many long evenings - they worked on until the early hours of the morning before the opening.
– Why did we get ourselves into this situation, when we've already learned quite well from the Helgeåfestivalen how to cope , Anna wonders with a smile.
Both she and Andreas are used to being involved in various projects.
– Today it is 22 years to the day since we opened the pet shop in Hjärsås, Andreas tells us from the heat of the frying surface.
He also tells us of the concept the café is alone in having in Östra Göinge, with an area devoted to games. What used to be a solarium has now been incorporated into the café and equipped with a billiard-table, and you can book a time to play darts or table hockey as well.
– We want to create a place where people can get together, say Anna and Andreas, who say it will be open seven days a week.
The idea is that Andreas and Josefin Axelsson will be at the café all the time, while Anna will split her time between the pet shop in Hjärsås and Kom In. In between times they will find time to prepare for this year's Time to Rock.
