SD wants to remove meat options in school - only pork will be available

Pupils should not be able to choose meats other than pork in school - if they choose it for religious reasons. This is what the Swedish Democrats believe. Pupils who do not want to eat pork can eat a vegetarian alternative, says SD.

A few times a month there is pork for lunch at school. For religious reasons there is also another dish to choose from, with another type of meat. The Swedish Democrats now want to remove this option.

In a motion to the Municipal Council, SD writes that pupils who are able to choose another type of meat for religious reasons find it more difficult to assimilate, the food costs more and the staff in the school canteen have more to do.

SD thinks there is already a vegetarian alternative available. The Swedish Democrats therefore propose that the Municipal Council make a decision on removing special diets in commune schools - which are not for medical reasons.
