Why did the men from Kristianstad who have now been charged want to kill the 28-year-old?

In order to unwind the chain of violence and conflicts among criminals in Kristianstad, we must go back in time.

One of the real starting-points for the spiral of revenge is thought to be 2018, according to the investigation into the murder at Lyckans Höjd.

In 2018 a man was shot and killed at Gamlegården and the conflict between what the police call the Challan network and Network E - at Gamlegården/Näsby- escalates. .

According to the police the intended target for the shot at Lyckans Höjd was a 28-year-old man. He had previously had connections with Gamlegården, but was banned from there by criminals in the area. He moved from Näsby and Gamlegården after the shooting incident at Gamlegård Centre in the summer of 2021.

From what the police understand, suspicion arose from the Gamlegården gang towards the 28-year-old, whom they believed to be illoyal, as it says in the material from the investigation. People at Gamlegården have said he had been 'playing double', and had been mixed up in violent incidents that had harmed Network E.

There are several close relatives of the 28-year-old who have been involved in violent incidents that have harmed Network E. One such incident was the shooting at Gamlegården Centre in the summer of 2021. The 28-year-ols's younger cousin has been sentenced for being one of two gunmen.

According to a police investigation Network E may have suspected that the 28-year-old had also been involved in seeing to it that the shooting at Gamlegård Centrum was carried out. But he is reported to have flatly denied that he was involved.

_ I don't belong to anyone, the 28-year-old said while being questioned.

He meant that he does not belong to any gang at all.

The 28-year-old's younger brother, just like the cousin, is thought to belong to the Challan network..The brother is serving a sentence of 10 years for an attempted murder in a hairdresser's salon in the spring of 2022.

When the shot, which is thought to have been aimed at the wrong person, was fired at Lyckans Höjd on 7th June the 28-year-old was close by.

He says he doesn't understand why his friend - whom he describes as being ¨very close´- was shot.
