Price of electricity highest this year in the south of Sweden
On Monday, the price of electricity in the south of Sweden will be the highest so far this year.

According to the electricity exchange Nord Pool, the electricity price in area 4, which is southernmost Sweden, is 2:11 crowns per kilowatt hour. In electricity area 3, which includes Stockholm among other cities, the price is 1:66 crowns per kilowatt hour.
In the north of Sweden, however, the price fell. In electricity areas 1 and 2, the price of electricity on Monday is 0.61 crowns (61 pence) per kilowatt hour.
On top of Nord Pool’s price, households face an added cost of the electricity companies' mark-up, electricity tax, VAT and grid fee, costing approximately 1:50 crowns per kilowatt-hour.
