The same day a man was taken into custody and held, suspected on reasonable grounds of murder. On Monday 18th October the man was released, the prosecutor having decided that the evidence was not sufficient to keep the man in custody.

On Thursday 21st October prosecutor Christofer Ramqvist, who is leading the preliminary investigation, received oral information from the legal medical officer. The post-mortem examination of the woman's body is complete, and there is nothing at the moment to indicate that it is a case of murder.

– We're not writing off the possibility that it can be murder, but the suspicion of murder has lessened, says Christofer Ramkvist.
