Paludan wants to burn the Quran in Kristianstad – has applied for a permit

Rasmus Paludan, the controversial Danish-Swedish politician, has applied for a permit to burn a Quran in Kristianstad.
The demonstration will take place outside the mosque in Näsby on Sunday.
In the application, Rasmus Paludan states that he wants to demonstrate "against Islam in Sweden".

Rasmus Paludan is Chairman of the far-right party Stram Kurs (Tight Course). On Monday he applied for a permit from the police to carry out a demonstration in Kristianstad.

According to the application, Paludan wants to burn a Quran and display a depiction of the Prophet Muhammed. The demonstration will take place on Sunday 29 May between 1 pm and 6 pm.

“If possible, we want to end the demonstration with a 30-minute walk around Gamlegården," Paludan writes in the application.

The burning of the Quran will take place outside the mosque in Näsby according to the application.

"Last time, criminals threw stones. Maybe, as a form of self-defence, the police will be forced to shoot the criminals who throw stones? ”, Paludan writes in the application.
