– There are many difficulties when you start your own business. But I’ve overcome them. I had a dream; I felt as though I had to achieve it.
Mohamed Rihawi worked as a cleaner for five years. It gave him the experience and knowledge to dare to start Professional Städ. He himself speaks Arabic and Swedish. Two of his hourly employees speak Somali, English and Dari.
– In the cleaning industry, there is a lot of illegal employment, fiddling with working hours and too many stories about unfair working conditions. We really want to change this.
He thinks the company is on the right track.
– The most important thing for me is to offer my customers security. Many of our customers are satisfied. I hope that this will continue.
Is the cleaning industry affected by the corona crisis?
– Of course. Many companies have closed their offices, the employees work from home. And many people don’t want to meet other people out of fear for their health. I fully understand that. We have to be patient until the pandemic is over.
