Man suspected of Gamlegård shooting sentenced to prison
The shooting incident at Gamlegården shopping centre in which three people were injured took place on 3rd August. According to witnesses a moped or motor-cycle drove past the shopping centre and shots were fired. One of the persons suspected of riding on the motor-cycle is the 21-year-old.
While the attempted murder was being investigated the 21-year-old left Kristianstad and went to Stockholm. On 11th September he was seized outside the Central Station. He was stopped and searched by the police, who found that he had on him 97.4 grammes of cocaine and 19,000 crowns.
While the 21-year-old was under arrest in Kronobergshäktet in Stockholm he was also charged on suspicion of being involved with the shots at Gamlegården. This arrest was recognised on 1st October by Kristianstad district court and the 21-year-old is still under suspicion of the deed.
The judgement on the drugs crime and money laundering was handed down on 29th October in Stockholm district court. The 21-year-old was found guilty and sentenced to two years in prison.
A few days ago a 23-year-old was released. He is suspected of aiding and abetting in the attempted murder at Gamlegården.
The two 17-year-olds are still being held in the police station and the prison in Kristianstad on suspicion of attempted murder.
