In the middle of May Region Skåne will start phase four of its vaccination plan. Then the big group of people aged between 18 and 59 will be vaccinated.
– It feels really positive. We'll start with the 50-59-year-olds, says Maria Landgren, vaccination co-ordinator in Region Skåne.

A debate is in progress about the fact that there are not many places where you can be vaccinated. Two of the places are Qpoolen in Hässleholm and Kristianstad Arena. Socialdemokraterna want vaccinations to be available at Region Skåne's own health centres as well.

At the same time the number of covid-19 cases is still growing. The number of covid patients in hospitals has risen. On 3rd May a total of 164 persons were being treated in hospital for covid, of whom 24 were in intensive care.

The lower football divisions are postponing the start of their season. The government has promised a relaxation of restrictions after 17th May – if the covid situation permits, that is.

A lot of people spend their time on hobbies such as dancing, music, painting, filming and so on. Who do you think should be awarded Kristianstad municipality's culture prize (50,000 crowns) and culture award (25,000 crowns)? The prizes are handed over at the Kulturgalan in November.
The culture prize is awarded in co-operation with Kristianstadsbladet, and is given to someone who has made a valuable contribution to culture. The culture award goes to a promising young worker in the field of culture.
