Graffiti vandals recognised on Facebook video
- We have a good idea of who they are, says Pär Cederholm, Local Police Area Manager.
At the end of the half-term, there was graffiti in several places in Broby. The entrance door of the police station was defaced with graffiti; at the bus station, a bus shelter was vandalised with graffiti in the middle of the day; the “taxi-cube”, the public toilet, as well as the black diabase stones and the Kulturhuset were also vandalised.
One of the shops in the town centre was also defaced which resulted in the perpetrators getting caught on camera. Two younger boys were identified when the surveillance footage was posted on Facebook.
On Monday, even more places that had been vandalised with graffiti were discovered. The entrance of Göingeskolan had been spray-painted red, amongst other things. In addition, there was more graffiti at the bus station.
Now names and surveillance footage have been handed over to the police. The boys are under 15 years old.
- We will now get in touch with the municipality and social services. If social services then ask us to carry out an investigation, we will do it, says Cederholm.
