Covid-patients increasing in Skåne – corona crisis extended to New Year
The Public Health Agency Sweden has identified Skåne as one of the regions where the infection is increasing.

– Now we’re up to 45 cases per day, if we count the average value seven days back, she says.
– The positive thing is that it’s not the elderly, those over 70, who are affected.
Several measures taken by Region Skåne due to Covid-19 will continue to apply for the rest of the year. At the same time, several Covid-spots are being shut down in hospitals in Skåne. There isn't a need for them at the moment.
At CSK, Covid-IVA, that is, the intensive care unit for Covid-19 patients, has now been shut down. It’s possible to treat such a patient there, and another one briefly. Otherwise, Covid-patients will be treated in the infection ward.
Several hospitals in Skåne are doing the same. The hospitals want to use beds for regular operations.
