Back in the top 100 – best in the north-east
– Terrific that we've reached the second-best place ever, says municipal commissioner Patric Åberg (M). He can look back on an unbelievable journey for businesses in ÖstraGöinge.
Since 2001 Svenskt Näringsliv ranks the business climate in all municipalities every year. Last year Östra Göinge landed in 108th place. This year they reached 73rd place.
The ranking is the result of a questionnaire.

– It's a really good result. It's encouraging that we've climbed as regards most of the points in the questionnaire, municipal commissioner Patric Åberg (M) says in a press statement.
It has been a year of pandemic and restrictions. But Östra Göinge has tried to maintain contact with the businesses, both digitally and physically, in a safe way.
But one thing that causes worry is a question that engages both businesses and inhabitants in the municipality, namely the question of criminality and insecurity.
As far as that goes, Östra Göinge is still at the bottom of the list and has dropped 26 places to spot 271. In the previous ranking in 2020 that question was included. for the first time.
