The Job Centre is making cutbacks, both in the number of offices and employees. The offices in Hässleholm, Bromölla and Broby will be closed down.

Now several Social Democrat councillors and politicians in Skåne have written a letter to Ylva Johansson (S), the Minister for Employment.

In the letter they call for more cooperation between municipalities and the Job Centre.

Among Skåne’s S-politicians there is Marika Bjerstedt Hansen in Osby, Jenny Önnevik in Bromölla, Anders Bengtsson in Östra Göinge and Lena Wallentheim in Hässleholm, among others.

In the January agreement with C and L, the government said that it should be possible for independent actors to take over part of the Job Centre’s responsibility.

The Skåne S politicians suggest that Sweden's municipalities should be one of these independent actors.
