RFSL love-bombed with hearts - Nazis claim responsibility for the attack with bloody doll

Many people want to show their support after the incident at RFSL's premises this weekend when the bloody doll was found on the stairs. On Thursday, the Liberal Youth of Sweden (Liberala ungdomsförbundet) put lots of hearts up on the house. Reportedly, Nazis have claimed responsibility for the bloody doll. But RFSL in Kristianstad will not allow itself it to be intimidated.

– It’s absolutely terrible, an expression of total intolerance towards people, says Linnéa Bjärum, Vice President of the Liberal Youth of Sweden about the attack this weekend.

The doll was found by some of the members on their stairs on Saturday, ahead of a pub night. The doll was wrapped in a Pride flag, smeared with fake blood and had a knife in its chest.

Police are investigating the act as a suspected hate crime.

During autumn, human-sized dolls were hung at the municipal buildings in Ronneby, Skurup and Båstad. The dolls had nooses around their necks and notes with right-wing messages and threats against politicians.

Last summer during the Pride celebration in Tranemo, a doll was hung in a tree with a noose around its neck. It held a pride flag and had a sign with the text "paedophile".

The doll on the stairs in Kristianstad also had similar messages.

The notes contained messages such as "hope instead of hate", "love", "openness" and "those who hate may be heard, but we who love are 1000 times more".

According to information online, people with links to neo-Nazi environments have said that they are behind the act. Nazis are also responsible for the incident with the doll on the stairs last Saturday.

RFSL, the national association for LQBTQ people’s rights, will have a meeting on Norra Kanalgatan during the Christmas holidays. The association wants the police to be present when the members meet.

– I hope and believe that our members will not be intimidated to stay at home, says Louise Arvidsson, Chairwoman of RFSL Kristianstad.

In 2006, RFSL Kristianstad was subjected to a knife attack by Nazis. Among others, Simon Lindberg was sentenced to prison for the attack. He is the leader of the Nordic Resistance Movement (Nordiska Motståndsrörelsen).
