No pupils infected by corona in Kristianstad
On Monday and Tuesday, several media outlets reported a sharp increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus. It may have started the rumour that pupils at various schools in the municipality are infected.
The Children and Education Administration has investigated the matter: there is no information to indicate that any pupils in Kristianstad are infected by covid-19.
Daniél Tejera (L), Chairman of the Children and Education Committee says that the municipality is following the recommendations set by Folkhälsomyndigheten (the Public Health Agency of Sweden).
– Staff and pupils should attend school if they are healthy, no matter where they have been. This is what applies for the time being.
If you have symptoms of covid-19, i.e. respiratory symptoms, fever and cough and have been in an area of infectious risk (China, South Korea, Iran and nine regions of Italy), you should seek medical advice.
If you are not ill, you can search for information online at 1177.se or on Folkhälsomyndigheten’s website.
At present, 33 people in Sweden are infected. Two of them are in Skåne. One is a 25-year-old man who is being treated at the infection clinic in Lund and the other is a 45-year-old woman. Both were infected during a trip to northern Italy. The woman is being treated at the infection clinic in Malmö.
