New spring program - Kulturhuset celebrates ten year anniversary

Kulturhuset (the Cultural Centre) is celebrating its ten year anniversary, family Saturdays are here to stay. Östra Göinge's cultural program for spring has some very exciting things to offer.

The band Baskery is on the front page of the cultural programme. The Swedish band plays country-inspired rock, was the opening act for Robbie Williams on the Europe 2015 tour. Baskery has the premier for his tour at Sibbhults Folkets Hus on February 12th at 7 pm. Free admission for everyone under the age of 18.

The light project Vita Lux: orientation illuminates the Kulturhusets facade the weekend of 8-10th February. With a focus on house lights, our homes have been brightened up and light within art. There will be video, music and lots of moving around during the opening ceremony on February 8th, which is from 5-8.30 pm.

On February 9th, the Kulturhuset Vita Skolan will celebrate their 10 year anniversary. The Kulturhuset is Östra Göinge's largest cultural initiative so far. The celebration starts at 10 am, with a lot of different activities throughout the house. The program ends with a concert where comedian and musician Magnus Mårtensson will lead the Östra Göinge Osby Chamber Orchestra.

The popular family Saturdays between 10am -1pm will continue at Kulturhuset.

– Family Saturdays is a tried and tested idea, to create expectations that on Saturdays, something is happening. We still have staff in place, says Johan Larsson, Librarian.

Stand-up comedian Robin Paulsson, with his own program on SVT, will be visiting Knislinge Folkets Park on February 28th at 7 pm.

Movies for coffee time, for adults, will be in Hanaskog's library on February 26th at 5 pm.

There is a lot going on during the winter holidays, program to come later.
