Villa ablaze – police will investigate the scene
A villa in Sibbhult caught fire late on Tuesday night. When the emergency services arrived, the entire villa was ablaze. Every room was on fire.

The alarm about the fire on Skolgatan came at 10.49 pm.
– We have a 1.5-storey villa that is completely ablaze. Every room in the villa was on fire when we arrived, said Patrik Freij, Internal Officer at the emergency services.

The emergency services from Sibbhult, Kristianstad and Broby tried to reduce the fire.

– So that it didn’t spread to villas and garages located around it. There were huge sparks flying from the fire, says Freij.
No one was injured.
– The woman who lives in the house managed to get out, he says.
Ambulance and police were also at the scene. The emergency services would stay there throughout the night.
The police have classified the incident as arson. The scene will be cordoned off for a forensic investigation.
