Request for two teenagers to be remanded in custody after shootings
Chief prosecutor Pernilla Åström has today submitted an application for a warrant of arrest to Kristianstad district court, which will be issued on Thursday afternoon.
Two young men are suspected of attempted murder, on probable grounds, the more serious charge, suspected of attempted murder at Gamlegården on 3rd August this year.
Three persons were shot and injured in the incident at Gamlegården shortly after 3:30 pm on 3rd August. At an early stage in the investigations three people were held on the reasonable suspicion being involved. They were later released and are no longer under suspicion.
On Monday evening the prosecutor ruled that two persons – two 17- year-olds living in north-east Skåne – be arrested in their absence. On Tuesday morning the arrest order was carried out
Suspicions against the arrested teenagers have grown after witnesses have been heard and surveillance cameras have been checked.
The suspected 17-year-olds have been sentenced by Kristianstad district court this year already. One of them was fined for drug offences and the other was sentenced to detention in a young people's home for drug offences and drivng offences.
