Sweden won the EM after dramatic final

Sweden are European champions after winning 27 - 26 in the European handball final.
– It's the biggest thing ever, says Niclas Ekberg, hero of the match, to TV6.

Sweden has given us plenty of drama during the European championships.The final on Sunday in Budapest was a nail-biting thriller as well.

With just a few seconds left, the score stood at 26 -26 – then Sweden got a penalty.

Niclas Ekberg saw his chance. With the last shot of the match in the last second of the match he took the score to 27 - 26. And so Sweden won its first EM gold since 2002.

– I don't know what I thought. I didn't think so much, all I thought was that the ball had to go in. And then it went the way it went, Ekberg said to TV6.
