Residents at Charlottesborg among the most secure in the municipality

The annual security index shows a higher rate of security. The best rating on the problem index is 0, and the worst is 6.

Degeberga,Tollarp and Åhus show the lowest rating, with 1.75, closely followed by Charlottesborg with 1.91.

In order to get to grips with the problems in the area the municipality and the police have worked with a packet solution, co-operation, camera surveillance and a number of comprehensive projects.

– A long-term presence at Charlottesborg has produced results, says Sabina Månsson Hultgren (S), vice-chairman of BRÅ, the drug and crime prevention council.

The biggest rise in insecurity since last year is at Österäng. At Gamlegården residents are the most insecure, with a problem index of 3.22.

At both Gamlegården and Österäng the municipality has now started to introduce a similar way of working as at Charlottesborg.
