Outhouse ablaze – could not be salvaged: "Was completely engulfed in flames"
An outhouse by a villa off Route 118 between Åhus and Kristianstad caught fire late on Monday evening.
Emergency services focused on containing the fire and let the building burn down; it was completely engulfed in flames when they arrived.

On Monday at 23.36, SOS received an alarm about a fire in a small detached building on Åhusvägen in Viby, Kristianstad municipality.
According to the emergency centre in Kristianstad, there was a fire in an outhouse next to a villa at the address.
- It was a smaller detached building measuring at 10 x 7 metres that burned down, says Tommy Sundqvist, Operator at the emergency centre in Kristianstad.
The emergency services remained at the scene with several units until 1 am before a many of them left. A tanker and a police car were left behind to keep an eye on the fire.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause has not been determined.
