More covid patients at CSK after break in trend

With almost 500 new cases, 84,240 people from Skåne have now tested positive for covid-19. However, there are no figures on how many of them have recovered.

At the same time, the number of places to get tested is increasing. Kristianstad has the capacity to test a total of 1,900 people every week at Apoteket C4, Apoteket Norringen and at the drive-through testing station on Kanalgatan.

– We now have the possibility of using high-speed PCR that is used inside the hospitals' emergency departments. It provides a quick answer on whether patients may have covid before they are hospitalised, said Skåne's Infection Control Doctor Eva Melander during a press conference on Wednesday.

The Central Hospital in Kristianstad admitted nine new covid patients in the last 24 hours. The number of patients who need intensive care, however, remains the same.
