Man with head injuries found outdoors – police conducting criminal investigation
An injured man was found in Hässleholm shortly after 1.30 am during the early hours of Monday morning.
According to the police, the man was found by members of the public, lying on the ground outdoors. He is said to have been found near the Qpool.
– We were told that the man was lying on the pavement. It was clear that he had injuries to the head and face, says Sara Andersson, the police’s spokesperson. 112 was called and the man was taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of his injuries are unknown.
It remains unclear whether or not the incident was a crime or an accident. The police are investigating it as an assault for the time being.
– We will file a report of assault and let the investigation run its course until we are told otherwise. We have classified it as assault because we don't know. We will speak to the man when possible, says Sara Andersson.
Further to this, the police welcome any witness information.
– There are currently no known witnesses. But of course you should get in touch if you have seen anything, says Andersson.
