Local politicians agree: New baths will be built here – maximum cost 325 million
The question of new baths has been a topic of discussion in Hässleholm municipality for many years.

The central alliance, with Moderaterna, Kristdemokraterna and Liberalerna, have now decided that the best site is at Österås sports area.
But the baths must not cost more than 325 million crowns.
– We are anxious to get started as soon as possible on building the new baths, which can be a source of pleasure and benefit for everyone living in the municipality, says Lars Johnsson (M) the chairman of the municipal board in a statement to the press.
– If we site the baths at Österås it means that we can start the project straight away.

The council thinks the area is a good choice, close to other types of sporting activities. In addition it is easy to reach from all parts of the municipality, for children too.
The decision to build the new baths must first be ratified by the council.
