Fly the flag on Sweden's national day

6 June is the Sweden's national day. Flags can be seen everywhere, it's a national holiday.

The national day is celebrated in remembrance of Gustav Vasa's being elected king of Sweden on 6th June 1523. Then Sweden became a free kingdom again and broke out of the Kalmar Union.

6th June is also the anniversary of the day in 1809 when the document with a new form of government was signed. It divided the power in Sweden among the king, parliament and the High Court.
