EU says yes to corona passport
Negotiations concerning EU's common so-called corona passport have been tough. But now the EU parliament has voted to accept it. It will be both on paper and digital.
”This makes it easier to travel without restrictions”, the EU parliament writes.
The next step is for the ministers' council to ratify the decision officially on Friday.
The certificate will be free for all EU citizens, and will be valid for one year as from !st July.
”But the certificate must not be made obligatory for travelling around freely, and is not a type of travel document”, the EU parliament writes.
The certificate will show if a traveller has been vaccinated, tested negative or recovered from covid-19. To begin with the Swedish certificate has only information on vaccination.
Several countries have already begun to issue certificates, among them Denmark, Germany, Greece and Croatia.
Free corona certificate
All the regions in Sweden report all covid-19 vaccinations to Folkhälsomyndigheten.
You can order proof of vaccination from the E-health authority's service ”covidbevis”.
The certificate is free. Later this summer the certificate will also show if a person has tested negative for covid-19 and/or has had the illness and recovered.
