Building threatened by fire – three fires within an hour
The emergency services received a call about 10:20 pm about a fire out of doors at Vattentornsvägen in Kristianstad.
When they reached the scene there was a fire in a litter-bin and some pallets near the wall of a building.

Was the building in danger?
– There's always a risk when there is a fire so close by, but we could soon put it out., said Thomas Nordin, inner duty officer at the emergency services in Kristianstad.
The police believe the fire was started deliberately by some unknown person and are treating the case as arson.
– There was a great risk that the building would catch fire, says Peter Frostlund, inner duty officer with the police.
He says that another three fires were started within an hour in Kristianstad, at Göingegatan, at Stadsmissionen at Norrtullsvägen and at a parking area at Magasinet. These offences are classified as damage by fire.
– We are interested in observations from the public between 10 and 11:30 pm, says Peter Frostlund.
