Recycled and second hand will be Christmas gift of the year

In previous years it has been a baking machine, a robot vacuum cleaner and last year it was the electric cycle that was the Christmas gift of the year.

According to HUI Research, a recycled piece of clothing will be the Christmas gift of the year to be placed under the Christmas tree in 2018.

– The Christmas gift of the year reflects the Swedish consumer’s interest in new sustainable alternatives. In addition, concern for the climate and the environment is increasing, says Johan Larsson, analyst at HUI Research.

Sustainable consumption is the new trend. That is, the materials in our clothes should be possible to use several times.

According to HUI, the record hot summer has contributed to the Swedes increased concern for climate change, which speaks for the Christmas gift of the year.
