Police cordoned off area – bomb squad carried out checks on car

The police cordoned off an area in Näsby to carry out checks on a car that had been parked near a property. The police say that nothing dangerous has been found. The cordon was lifted at about 2.30 pm.
A 75-metre area in Näsbychaussén has been cordoned off; from the junction by Infanterivägen and heading southwards. The car that is being checked is empty and is parked near a property.
The roadblocks were put up at 11.50 am on Monday.
– The purpose is to examine the car, says Patric Fors, Press Spokesman at the police's control centre in Malmö.
Nobody has been injured. According to an eyewitness at the scene, the police are using a robot.
The police do not want to disclose why the car is being checked. The police’s bomb squad is at the scene.
