Handball: IFK giving up on series victory - "It's probably over"

Loss against reigning champion Sävehof with 26-23. IFK Kristianstad is heading for its worst season in six years. After five straight series wins, the team seems to have given up hope of catching up with Alingsås at the top. "It's probably over," says trainer Ljubomir Vranjes.

The loss was the seventh this season in the handball league. IFK has not had so many losses in the same season since 2013/14. Six games remain. Alingsås is leading with four points more than IFK.

– Yes, it probably is, answers IFK coach Ljubomir Vranjes.

– We’re not playing badly, but there are some things that are just missing. We're not good enough in the second half. We don't have the real "killer instinct", says Vranjes.
