Young people can dance at Kulturnatten in Kristianstad

After two years of silence the group of arrangers has drawn up a strong manifestation of the town's cultural life. There are around 100 points on the programme, which begins around lunchtime on Friday 20th May and continues until shortly before midnight on 21st May.

As usual it is all about the mix when different participants open up their stages, but of course music plays a prominent part. With the symphony orchestra's tribute to Pink Floyd in Trefaldighetskyrkan, spring and summer songs from Motettkören in Östermalmskyrkan and Kristianstad Storband's 50th birthday celebrations on Stora Torg. Backyard Babies' front man draws rock enthusiasts to Biljardkompaniet, where The Fleshtones – the legendary garage rockers from New York – round off the whole event.

And for the young members of the public? A real drive with an outdoor stage at Kulturkvarteret and a strong focus on club, hiphop and rythm'n'blues.
