Web TV: Air Force appeared over the south of Sweden

Every year, the Air Force usually carries out a Christmas flight over Kristianstad. It took place on Wednesday, but this year it was a Christmas bulb instead of a Christmas tree.

The four planes from Skaraborg's air flotilla (F 7) were the TP 84 Hercules model. They flew from Såtenäs in Lidköping municipality, down through Halland, Skåne, Blekinge and Kalmar. They then spread Christmas joy over a large part of the south of Sweden.

“Formation flights are a good exercise for the combat flight divisions to plan and carry out flights in a larger formation for a longer period of time. It’s also a way for the air force to show its presence, as a guarantor of citizens' security against external threats", writes the Air Force on its website.

At about 12.20, the plane flew over the city. Watch a video of the flight over Kristianstad below:

Do you want to see even more flights? Several newspapers within Gota Media (who Kristianstadsbladet belongs to) filmed the flights with Jas and Hercules planes on Wednesday. We have put them together into a single three-minute clip. You can watch it below:
