Ukrainian flag on Stora Torg

At 10:30 Friday the Ukrainian flag was hoisted on Stora Torg in Kristianstad.
– This is to show our support for the people of Ukraine and for freedom, says Bo Silverbern (M), chairman of the municipal council.
At the same time the other flags on the flagpoles round Stora Torg were lowered. This was to let the Ukrainian flag dominate the scene, said Bo Silverbern.
In his opinion the decision was the obvious one to make.

The flag will fly on Stora Torg over the weekend, to begin with. But it can be a question of a longer time.
Several other municipalities in Sweden are flying the Ukrainian flag.
