Two women killed at a high school in Malmö

According to the police, the incident was reported just after 5 pm on Monday. Two people were found injured. The victims, two women in their 50s, were taken to hospital but their lives could not be saved.

– The perpetrator is an 18-year-old student at the school and a resident of a city in Skåne. The student does not have a previous criminal record, says Petra Stenkula, head of the police district, at a press conference today.

– A number of investigative measures will be carried out during the evening. We will continue to investigate. The preliminary investigation is led by prosecutors.

Little is known about the circumstances surrounding the incident that occurred yesterday afternoon at the high school, Malmö Latin School.

The attack at the school in Malmö is not the first incident of its kind in Sweden. Earlier this year, a 16-year-old boy carried out an attack at a school in Kristianstad. One pupil was seriously injured and a teacher received minor injuries.
