Two men dead after head-on collision – woman has life-threatening injuries
The police were alerted at 10.02 pm on Wednesday evening, November 30. Police, emergency services and an ambulance were sent to the scene on Route 19, just south of Broby.
Initially, Evelina Olsson, Press Spokesperson for the police, stated that there had been a collision between two cars. In total, three people are said to have been in the cars that collided head-on.
The police later announced that two men died as a result of the accident. A dog also died. Next of kin have been notified.
A third person was taken to hospital from the crash site. According to Region Skåne, it was a woman in her 70s who was taken to Kristianstad Central Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is still unknown and the police will be investigating the incident. Witnesses who had seen the accident have been interviewed and the crash site has been documented.
