Two incidents involving violence at the weekend: Young man kicked and robbed by gang 30-year-old man stabbed in fight with several people
At about 5 pm on Saturday a man in his mid-twenties was attacked in Bjäregatan. As many as ten persons may have been involved.
– It's uncertain how many there were of them, but a number of people have kicked and beated up the victim causing injuries to his face and head, says Johanna Bryhagen, internal officer in charge with the police in Kristianstad.
No-one has been arrested for the assault during the weekend.
On Sunday a man in his 30s was stabbed with a sharp object out of doors at Göingegatan at Gamlegården. The alarm came at 16:05 on Sunday. Police and dog patrols were sent to the incident. The man's injuries are said to be serious, according to Region Skåne's press service.
It is reported that several people were involved in the fight. A man in his 50s has been held by the police, says police spokesman Rickard Lundqvist.
– At the same time several people may have been subjected to violence. At present it is hard to say exactly what happened, says Rickard Lundqvist.
On Sunday police carried out door-to-door enquiries in the area. An inner courtyard at Göingegatan was cordoned off. The police have marked finds made at the site with yellow cones.
At present the crime is being classified as attempted murder or attempted manslaughter.
The police would like to speak to witnesses to both incidents.
