Two car fires at Näsby - within twelve minutes

The first came from Fältvägen at 3:08 and the second from Olastorpsvägen at 3:20.

The emergency services, including the police, turned out to the addresses. In both cases it concerned private cars which were burning, one at each address.

– In the first case it was a car which was completely ablaze at one place (the first one) and then the motor was burning in a second car a few hundred yards away. We see it when we are out there, says Niklas Nilsson, who leads the emergency unit at the service in Kristianstad.

In the first case the car-owner is reported to have been woken by a loud bang, then he saw that his car was on fire.

It is reported that the fires did not spread any further from the vehicles.

We're still working on completely extinguishing the fire in the first car, but we've got things under control, says Nilsson shortly before 4 am.

The police have made a report on damage by fire.
