The pandemic – can we party now, or what?
Bigger audiences (500 if they are seated), restaurants can stay open longer, markets and similar events are permitted. The relaxation of restrictions as from 1st June are a first step on the way back to a new normal.
”They still advise against parties and dinners”Lars Sandahl, the county administrative board
But what about private parties?
The county administrative board in Skåne has received a large number of e-mails and enquiries. In just one day there were about 80 calls.
– People ask if they can have their party or their wedding, says Lars Sandahl, head of the county administrative board's unit for pandemic supervision.
Private gatherings are not regulated by law. It is not the responsibility of the county administrative board, but the board is pleased to answer everyone who gets in touch with them.
Lars Sandahl understands that people can find this confusing. But you ought to remind yourself why there are rules.
– It's all to minimise the spread of infection.
What applies for private parties or dinners in the home or in the garden?
– Folkhälsomyndigheten's general recommendations are the rules to be followed. They still advise against parties and dinners where you mix with people you don't meet every day.
