An ambulance was called out at about 11 am on Sunday to a flat on Bataljonsvägen in Kristianstad, where the ambulance crew found a dead woman in her 20's.

It was the man who was later arrested and taken into custody who raised the alarm.

The scene of the crime was cordoned off and on Sunday the police carried out a forensic examination of the flat.

What was the relation between the man and the woman?

– They knew each other.

What was the cause of the woman's death?

– A medicolegal expert has made a preliminary examination of the victim's body, and a post mortem will be carried out. After that we can start to form a picture of how she died, says Christofer Ramkvist.
