Stora Torg: New open-air skating rink inaugurated
About 300 people wanted to see the opening on 28th November. Not least to get the chance to see – and hear – Kristianstad's new star in the realm of song. Ella Tiritiello has reached millions on Youtube with Avicii's song ”For a better day'”. She sang two songs.

There are plenty of ideas as to what there should be at Stora Torg. Many people would like to have a skating-rink.
– Now we're hoping that the skating-rink will be a meeting-place, that a lot of youngsters will take the chance to skate here and that it will contribute to the Christmas and winter atmosphere, said municipal commissioner Pierre Månsson (L).
The skating rink cost 575,000 crowns. The cost is shared between Kristianstad municipality and Sparbanken Skåne. The rink covers about 200 square metres. It can withstand temperatures of up to 10 degrees centigrade, so it ought to last until the end of February.
If you don't have skates and a helmet, you can borrow them free at weekends and during the holidays.
