Stabbed man in chest - 20-year-old sentences to ten years in prison
The attempted murder took place on the evening of 8th April in a barber's shop in Västra Storgatan.
A masked man came into the shop and stabbed the 22-year-old who was having his hair cut. The knife was still in the victim's chest when he got up out of the chair.
The attacker and the victim are reported to have had a stand-up fight over the knife. The victim tried to hold it in place, still inside him, and the attacker fought to pull it out. In the end the attacker was successful.
At the same time the barber who had cut the customer's hair was still inside the shop. He says he saw the masked attacker vomit, how it ran out from under the mask before the man with the knife disappeared from the shop.
The barber managed to take the 22-year-old, who was bleeding heavily, to the emergency department at the hospital. At CSK they managed to save the victim's life, but he had to be anaesthetised and was given blood transfusions.
Later that evening the street outside the barber's shop had to be cleared of blood.
On 22nd June the police broke down the door of a flat at Charlottesborg in order to search for the man who was suspected more and more of being involved in the attempted murder.
He was not in the flat, but was caught the same day - at a different address.
When interrogated he admitted he had been in the barber's shop, he went in when he thought there was something going on. He says he was the one who was trying to protect himself from the knife, and not vice versa. The 20-year-old vomited because of all the blood that was in there, he said while being interrogated.
