Spanish artist paints the centre
The artist Lula Goce is internationally known. She has done murals in several cities. On Monday, she started painting her artwork between Östra Vallgatan and Nya Boulevarden.

Lula Goce works eight to twelve hours a day. The plan is for the mural to be completed by tomorrow, Saturday.
The artwork depicts a girl, who Lula Goce describes as a kind of sea god. The painting is a metaphor for how people need to start seeing themselves as a part of nature.
The mural also contains local motifs.
– I’ve taken inspiration from plants and animals that are specific to Kristianstad, says Lula Goce.
With street art, she reaches people who may not go to museums or galleries.
– People start asking questions when they come in contact with street art. I think it makes people grow, she says.
