Skånetrafiken handing out 100,000 face masks
This summer, Skånetrafiken handed out 50,000 free face masks to passengers. Now they’re finished. Skånetrafiken will, therefore, hand out 100,000 new face masks.
– We know that many of Skåne's commuters feel safer with a face mask, says Carina Zachau (M), Chairwoman of the Public Transport Committee, in a press release.
–We’re doing everything we can to make those who need to travel feel safe using public transport. That’s why we offering free face masks again at Skånetrafiken's customer service centre, she says.
The face masks can be picked up at any one of Skånetrafiken's four customer service centres – in Malmö, Helsingborg, Kristianstad and Lund – from Thursday 24th September. Only passengers who have a valid ticket with Skånetrafiken will be able to collect them. Each person may pick up a maximum of two masks.
There is no requirement to use face masks on public transport in Sweden. But people who travel further to Denmark must have face masks when they arrive at Kastrup.
