Skåneflyg will take off from Everöd in March
In November 2020 prominent figures in the local business world formed the airline company Skåneflyg AB. It will operate from 'Kristianstad Österlen Airport'.
The first flight to Bromma is on Monday, 28th March, at 6:30.
”A lot of people have been in touch to ask about when we will start flying”Jonas Haak, managing director
– A lot of people have been in touch to ask about when we will start flying. They are looking forward to coming back at last and starting to fly from our airport again, so it feels extra good that we'll soon be there, says Jonas Haak, managing director at Kristianstad Osterlen Airport.
– I think people need to fly, and we must be able to get to Stockholm quickly, says Carl-Henrik Dahlqvist, managing director of Skåneflyg.
Millions of crowns from the taxpayers have been pumped in to avoid a crash-landing.
In the first week there will be 26 departures for Bromma, and 28 thereafter. Skåneflyg is leasing a plane, a Saab 340 with 33 seats, from Nyxair, Estonia.
– We might be able to offer flights to Sälen, Visby etcetera. But that must wait until later, says Jonas Haak.
