She’s leaving Kristianstad – to be the Municipal Director in Östra Göinge

– I can’t make any comments until a decision has been made. This will happen at the Municipal Executive Committee’s meeting on Wednesday, says Municipal Councillor Patric Åberg (M) when Kristianstadsbladet called him.

There have been rumours for some time that Merete Tillman has been considered for the position in Östra Göinge. The rumours increased after it became apparent that Merete Tillman did not apply for the position of Municipal Director in Kristianstad to replace Christel Jönsson, who is retiring in the summer.

Many thought that it would be an obvious step for her to take after almost two years as a Deputy. But instead, it looks like Merete Tillman will be the Municipal Director in Östra Göinge.

– I don’t know if I will. No decisions have been taken and no agreements have been made, says Merete Tillman when Kristianstadsbladet called her on Monday afternoon.

– I have not made any decision on whether I will be the Municipal Director in Östra Göinge.

Merete Tillman is 48 years old and took over as Deputy Municipal Director in Kristianstad on June 1st 2019.
