Several cars on fire by the water tower

At around 10 pm, SOS received an alarm about a car on fire in the car park between the water tower and the railway tracks in Kristianstad.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene, two cars were on fire and a third had been damaged.

– The two cars were completely ablaze, but we have the situation under control, says the emergency service's Internal Officer, Karl-Magnus Larsson, at 10.25 pm.

– No, we do not know what caused it. But there have been a few car fires, most recently last night, so we immediately alerted the police when we received the alarm.

As a result, the police have filed a report of vandalism by fire. There are no suspects regarding the incident during the early hours of Thursday morning. Nobody was injured.

At 1 am on Thursday, the emergency services received an alarm about cars on fire at Näsby Gård. When the emergency services arrived at the scene, three cars were completely ablaze in the car park.

The cars could not be salvaged. The emergency services remained at the scene until the cars had completely burnt down.
