School start: high school pupils can get lunch from 25 different places
In spring, high school pupils were able to pick up lunch at Södra Kasern in Kristianstad. But not all pupils live in the city centre. There was, therefore, a request to be able to pick up food in more places.
Pupils in grades 2 and 3 have to study from home every other week. Then it will be possible to pick up lunch at 23 schools and two retirement homes.
For the next two weeks, it’s only possible to pick up food at Södra Kasern. After that, it’s possible to pick up at other places as well.
Pupils should be able to pick up lunch at a primary school (or retirement home) near where they live.
Pupils have to book which days they want food. The food is handed out in the morning, between 7.45 am and 8.30 am.
– The pupils pick up the food chilled in the morning and warm it at home. This is to avoid overcrowding with other pupils at lunchtime. And the kitchen staff have more time in the morning, says Daniél Tejera (L), Chairman of the Children and Education Committee.
