Record queue for vaccination at Stora Torg – Ibbe made his friends go along

The queue wound long outside the town hall, for drop-in vaccination.

Ahmadullah Turab, social and health communicator at the county administration (Länsstyrelsen Skåne) in Skåne, stod at the door. He helped those in line to find their way.

– Fantastic day. We have never seen so many people get vaccinated at one time, he says.

In total, 250 received a dose. Most of the people who came received their first dose. From the 1st of December vaccine passes will be required to attend indoor events with more than 100 visitors. Ahmadullah Turab believes that this might be one factor and reason for the long queue.

— It feels like people are thinking about it now.

Ibbe Ahmed got vaccinated several months ago. Despite this he is standing in the queue. The reason? He has forced his three friends who haven’t gotten vaccinated yet, to go.

— They have to take it otherwise they will be infected by corona, he says.

Have you bothered them a lot about this?

— Yes, a lot. I have called them hundreds of times about it. All of them have had corona. That’s why we came here, for them to take the vaccin.

How does it feel to have finally gotten them here?

— It feels good, very good.
