The summer school lasts for two weeks. Here pupils can improve their grades. This year there is a a record number of pupils in Östra Göinge who are taking part.
A lot of pupils have difficulty in getting a pass-mark in their subjects.
– But it's great that they come here. They take things very seriously, says Daniel Jönsson (M), chairman of the results committee.
Boys have a tendency to fall behind in school. So he is very pleased to see that boys are taking the chance to get better grades.
In August we will see how many there are who have good enough grades to start at an upper secondary school.
The pupils go there voluntarily. In Östra Göinge there is a summer school for classes 6-9, where some of the pupils also go to swimming lessons.
The municipality gets 180,000 crowns from Skolverket to finance the summer school and the swimming lessons.
